These days, there are many reasons to use plastic, the modern construction material, two of which are its reduced weight and freedom for design. Many metals, such as die-cast brass, zinc and aluminium, are often ideally suited to be replaced by plastics.
Plastic composites provide properties that metals do not have. We have the knowledge and experience to be able to convert parts from metal to plastic, which means variations in construction and design. Another benefit of using plastic for construction is that the parts can be obtained directly from the machine in the desired colour and do not need to be painted. Other secondary operations, such as deburring, tapping and drilling, can also be streamlined, which means savings on costs, as these are processes that otherwise take time and therefore cost money.
Our technical department has extensive experience in design, choice of materials and technical support. We are well-equipped and can perform FEM calculations, mould filling simulations and can cooperate in test runs. We work with well-known software and can assist with product inspections in 3D, among other things. The projects are carried out in close cooperation with our customers’ design departments, moulders, tool makers and end-users.
